Life can be full and vibrant again – together, we will form a group that will empower you to live life to the fullest no matter your age.
I know from experience that life can really knock you down and sometimes you feel so alone. In this transition, you feel the best years of your life have left you. Nothing can be farther from the truth. This website is to help you in navigating your life and making it full and vibrant once again. My story is proof that you can survive loss and come out on the other side.
Your heart may never be the same; the loss is always part of you, but you can find joy and happiness; you have to fight for yourself, and this group I am forming will be a great foundation to help you, and we can help each other as we stumble along the path – celebrating our triumphs and helping us struggle through the pain.
My Story
One of the most profound and difficult times in my life came when we found out my husband had a terminal disease. The devastation would be an understatement he had Parkinson and Lewy body dementia.
My husband went from a savvy sharp businessman with a good size ego to a shell of himself.
It took about 5 years to take its course, I vowed to do whatever I could to keep him healthy and in our home. The last year of his life I realized he needed care 24hrs a day. At that time I had a thriving business (for many years). But my priority was my husband – so I quit my job – and became caretaker. Because nobody could love him like I could.
As difficult and earth shattering as that year was it was really the time when I realized how deeply we loved each other – a deep spiritual love that went beyond anything I could have imagined…
When I lost him I lost myself. I had never had to navigate alone NEVER…
I had to start over at my age from a blank slate. I started to question myself about what I really wanted in life. I realized life is too short, one never knows what the future will bring.
So through a lot of soul searching and prompting I decided I wanted to connect with women 50+ to share life experiences, frustrations and successes. I also thought it would be fun and fulfilling to build a sisterhood
I want to empower women and build confidence So they know, that whatever life throws at them, they can survive and even thrive
That is why this group was formed! The sisterhood called Women of a Certain Age…
I would like to invite you to join us. We would love to have you a part of our group!
